Trundle Bush Tucker Day
Saturday 2 September
This not-for-profit community event is now in its 29th year. Enjoy live music throughout the day as well as the bush tucker cooking competition, bush games and cooking demonstrations, while the Trundle community showcases its history and culture.

Randwick Eco-living Fair
Sunday 3 September
At this year’s special Father’s Day event learn about simple and fun sustainable practices to use in everyday life with DIY workshops, gardening, kids nature play and waste minimisation demonstrations as well as market stalls and live music.

Mudgee Wine & Food Festival
9 September–2 October
The Mudgee region once again comes alive with events dedicated to the region’s fine wine, good food and beautiful surroundings including live music, the Mudgee Wine Show, Go Tasting and Go Grazing, where wineries team up with local producers to create a memorable local meal.

Lucky Dumpling Market
21 September–8 October
Discover a feast for your senses that will transport you to the street markets of Asia in OzAsia’s new hub. Australia’s premier art festival focusing on Asia offers authentic hot pots, noodles, curries, premium wine and beer, and market stalls.

Pearl Beach Food & Wine Fare
Saturday 23 September
The sleepy bayside village of Pearl Beach hosts its 10th food and wine fare where you can enjoy an array of gourmet fare including boutique Hunter wines, fresh gourmet products including cheeses, olives, spicy pickles, delicious jams, homemade chutneys and preserves. All funds raised go to the local community.


Devonport Food and Wine Festival

The Food Bowl of Tasmania again celebrates their local Devonport produce with gourmet dinners, farm and factory tours, tastings, masterclasses and the signature event, Taste the Harvest.

Good Food Month Sydney

Good Food Month is a series of food months around Australia but October is Good Food Month in Sydney, offering everything from fine-dining, relaxed luncheons and night markets to free, family-friendly outdoor food gatherings including the Night Noodle Markets.

Bendigo Heritage Uncorked
7–8 October
Wines of the region are matched with gourmet food prepared by local chefs, all savoured while enjoying Bendigo’s gold rush heritage and architecture. Events include the Town Hall After Dark food and wine tasting and Heritage Uncorked, a catered meander through the town’s historic buildings.

Hunter Valley Uncorked Balmoral

Orange Wine Festival
14–30 October
A two-week program celebrates the industry and high-quality cool climate wines that are produced in the region. Events include a Wine Show Dinner, Wine Show Tasting, Wine and Food Night Market and Wine in the Vines.

Batlow Apple Blossom Festival

Granny Smith Festival
Saturday 21 October
Celebrate the life and legacy of one of Ryde’s most famous citizens at this street festival when Maria Ann Smith—aka Granny Smith—who back in 1868 ‘accidentally’ grew the first batch of little green apples that bear her name.

Fair Food Week
7–16 October
Join a local food event this week to support a fair food future. Led by the Australian Food Sovereignty Alliance, this is an opportunity to applaud farmers, gardeners, markets, chefs and community-based food enterprises who offer local, socially and environmentally just food alternatives.

World Food Day
Monday 16 October
This day of action against hunger is about achieving food security, the aim of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN. World Food Day commemorates the founding of the FAO and aims to raise the profile of the importance of food security to the world.

Ferment the Festival
19–22 October
This weekend brings together specialty cheesemakers, cheese eaters and cheese connoisseurs. Browse stalls to find old cheese favourites and discover new ones, take part in cheese workshops, meet the makers and listen to talks and enjoy food from some of SA’s best restaurants, breweries and wineries.

Cake Bake and Sweet Show Melbourne
21–23 October
Treat yourself to a day out dedicated to the world of baking and the art of cake decorating. Highlights include the Producers Marketplace where you can sample tasty treats and browse through goods from artisan bakers, cake makers, sweet stores and specialty food producers.

The National Cool Climate Wine Show
17–22 October
Hundreds of wine producers enter more than 800 cool-climate wines in this specialty wine show. The competition concludes with the public tasting where you can judge the best drop accompanied by local food, music and tasting tours.

Tastings on Hastings
27–29 October
Port Macquarie’s local food festival showcases farmers, artisans, producers, wine growers, brewers, restaurants and cafes. There will be a night festival, celebrity chef dinners, cooking demonstrations, masterclasses and the popular main event, Tastings, including a farmers’ market.


Night Noodle Market Melbourne
November 9–26
Good Food Month showcases the best restaurants, cafes, bars and producers Melbourne has to offer. There are lots of old favourites and many new events from Let’s Do Lunch and Hats Off Dinners to the Cafe Collective, Bar Hop, Pop-ups and Parties.

Bitter & Twisted International Boutique Beer Festival
4–5 November
Maitland’s historic Gaol throws open its gates for the weekend to be home to some of Australia’s best craft breweries. Celebrating 10 years this year, there will be a huge line-up of boutique beer, food and beer matching, gourmet lunch and live music.

25–26 November
The Carriageworks precinct in Sydney hosts Australia’s premier food and wine event celebrating raw, natural and indigenous food in collaboration with world-renowned chefs, producers and winemakers.
